STRUT VIP gives emerging artists access to essential services, resources, and sessions through a credit-based system. Members can redeem these credits for support across public relations, artist development, marketing, project management, social media, and brand campaigns.

Backed by the award-winning Strut Entertainment team and their vast network of industry professionals, STRUT VIP offers members consultations in key areas like A&R, radio promotion, grants and funding, digital distribution, royalties, and music publishing—all for an affordable annual fee.

Samantha Pickard, President of Strut Entertainment, is a 30+ year industry veteran with expertise in both Canadian and Australian markets. Her diverse background spans artist management, promotions, events, and media publishing. She has led hundreds of successful PR, marketing, and event campaigns and the career development for artists and influencers. Samantha has developed partnerships and campaigns with many brands.
Ashley Sperling, Senior Director of Special Projects & Marketing at Strut, brings more than 15 years of experience, having held key roles at MusiCounts (the music education charity associated with the JUNO Awards), Universal Music Canada, Cadence Music Group, Luminato Festival, and Blackberry (music and video content team). She also taught digital marketing at Harris Institute for the Arts for seven years. She currently sits on the Music BC Board of Directors executive and was previously on the board for the Country Music Association of Ontario.
Jamie Johnson is a dedicated people person and customer service expert, with a passion for music. She’s a graduate of the Public Relations program at Durham College and known as Strut Entertainment’s biggest music fan. Jamie has contributed to high-profile campaigns for artists such as Platinum-selling, JUNO Award winners Marianas Trench, international award-winning country stars Lainey Wilson, Chase Rice, and Parmalee, JUNO-winning bands and artists: Monster Truck, Sam Roberts Band, The East Pointers, and Kiesza, and multiple award-winning country acts The Washboard Union and Gord Bamford. Alongside the Strut team, she helps artists and brands thrive with remarkable enthusiasm and expertise.

Sam, Ashley and Jamie are supported by the rest of the Strut team and a vast network of industry partners who bring a breadth of experience and expertise to enhance Strut’s work.
